Welcome to Slate! Slate helps you generate stunning, professional presentation slide decks in seconds using advanced AI models. Here is how to create your first presentation:
- Prompt input: Enter the topic or theme of your presentation in the main dashboard prompt bar.
- Document upload: Alternatively, upload a document (PDF, TXT, Word) and let Slate extract the key themes automatically.
- Launch generation: Tap the generate button, and our AI will draft the slides outline, structure, and text content.
2. Template Selection
Slate features custom presentation templates configured for specific presentation styles (e.g., Pitch Decks, Corporate Quarterly, Technical Lectures, Workshops, and Employee Onboardings).
- Our smart template-selection algorithm automatically matches and scores templates based on your content’s tone, industry category, and tag intersections.
- You can manually select templates or tap "Continue without template" to use a default minimal scheme.
3. Editing Slides
Need to customize a generated slide? Slate makes edits easy:
- Text Edits: Double-tap any slide description or text node to modify the content directly. Tap save to apply changes.
- AI Regeneration: Don't like a slide layout or message? Tap the "Regenerate" option to ask the AI to rewrite or reformulate that specific slide.
4. Export Options
Slate presentations can be shared in multiple industry standard structures:
- PowerPoint (PPTX): Export as a fully-editable PowerPoint file. Perfect for editing layouts inside Keynote, PowerPoint, or Google Slides.
- PDF: High-fidelity document representation that displays identically across all target devices.
- System Share: Share directly using system widgets (Slack, Email, Messages).
5. Account & Billing
Paid tier options unlock premium presentation templates, unlimited exports, and higher AI token priority tiers.
- Subscriptions are managed securely via RevenueCat, through Apple App Store or Google Play Store billing channels.
- You can cancel your subscription inside App Store settings at least 24 hours prior to renewal dates.
6. Frequently Asked FAQs
Are presentations private?
Yes. Your inputs and slideshow structures are securely isolated inside your private Firebase bucket. Slate does not share your presentation data with third parties or use editable documents to train public templates.
Why did a template export look slightly overflowed?
On rare occasions, extremely long paragraphs can trigger design container overflows. Try editing the text layout into shorter bullet sentences for the best professional results.
